Exposition

I just finished the rest of the first chapter of my book, "The Hand You're Dealt" by Paul Volponi, which explains how Mr. Abbott stole the silver watch that Huck's father won from a poker tournament. It explains how Huck's father was cutting a mans hair and he just fell over passed out. It also describes the scene in which Huck's mother would put the watch on Huck's father who was unconscious on the bed of the hospital with a dozen machines keeping him alive. Then it says that Mr. Abbot walked into the hospital room after hearing of the incident of Huck's father after winning a poker tournament. And what happens after someone wins a poker tournament, they get handed down the silver watch from the church that hosts the tournaments. So after Huck and his mother leave the hospital, Mr. Abbott comes in and snatches the watch from Huck's father's wrist and leaves. That is how Mr. Abbott stole the silver watch.

Information on my book

The novel I'm reading is called "The Hand You're dealt" by Paul Volponi. In the beginning of this book it describes a scene of a guy called Stani robbing Huck (main character), Abbot, Rooster, Jaws, and Buddha. So far where I'm at in the book, it doesn't really give detail on Rooster, Jaws, Stani, or Buddha, but it does give detail on Huck's father's death and the passion Huck and his father had for poker. It also gives some detail on Abbot which is a person who stole a watch that Huck's father won from a poker tournament and after his fathers death, and Huck seeks out to win his father's watch back from playing Abbot in a poker tournament, I believe.
